PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's golf team returns to action on Saturday, April 18 at the Roar-EE Invitational, hosted by Columbia University, at Wiltwyck Golf Club in Kingston, N.Y.

The two-round stroke-play tournament will be contested Saturday beginning at 8:30 a.m. in a shotgun start. Providence will compete at Wiltwyck Golf Club which is a par-72 course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. stretching 6,790 yards.
The 15-team field competing with the Friars includes Lafayette College, Iona University, St. Thomas Aquinas College, Fairfield University, Siena University, Columbia University, St. Bonaventure University, Cornell University, University of New Haven, Fordham University, Canisius University, Saint Peter's University, Hofstra University and Dartmouth College.
The Friars last competed at the Wofford Invitational on Tuesday, April 14 at the Country Club of Spartanburg in Spartanburg, S.C. The Friars placed 13th with a team score of 910 (+58). Junior
Campbell Skelly (Charleston, S.C.) led Providence, tying for 29th at 216 (+3), his highest finish in the spring. Skelly totaled 13 birdies, the most by any Friar in the field, along with one eagle across three rounds. The junior sat tied for eighth after the opening round and tied for seventh through 36 holes. His 68 in the opening round is his lowest round of the year.
On Sunday, March 29, Providence wrapped up the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate at Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill, N.C. The Friars finished 14th with a team score of 935 (+71). Freshman
Callan Fahey (Wheaton, Ill.) was the top finisher for the Friars, placing tied for 67th with a score of 233 (+17). Fahey finished with 11 birdies across three rounds, the most by any Friar.
At the Peoples Championship at Sea Island Resort in St. Simons Island, Ga. on Thursday, March 12 through Saturday, March 14, the Friars finished 18th in the 21-team field with a score of 877 (+25). Fahey was the top finisher for the Friars, placing tied for 22nd with a score of 213 (E). Fahey record a four-under 67 in the opening round for the lowest round of his career including six birdies, the most in a round he's recorded this season. The freshman finished with 12 birdies on the weekend.
Providence returned to action in the spring season at the Dorado Beach Collegiate at TPC Dorado Beach in Dorado, Puerto Rico on Sunday, Feb. 22 through Tuesday, Feb. 24. The Friars finished 14th in the 15-team field with a score of 920 (+56). Skelly led Providence, carding a 221 (+5) to tie for 34th overall. Skelly highlighted the week with a two-under 70 in the second round, tying for the eighth-best round of the day. The performance marked the lowest round by a Friar in the tournament. He finished the week with 11 birdies, the most by any Providence player. Graduate students
Logan Jaeger (Basking Ridge, N.J.) and
Kevin Legnard (Bethel, Conn.) made their collegiate debuts at the tournament.
The Friars resumed varsity competition in 2025-26 for the first time in 23 years, opening the season at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic in Milford, Conn., last September. Fahey led Providence with a 10th-place finish out of 80 competitors, carding a 221 (+5). Skelly owns the program's top individual finish this season, placing tied for fifth at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial with a two-round score of 141 (-1).
Providence recorded its best team finish of the fall with a fifth-place showing at the Bash in the Boro at Georgia Southern University Golf Course on Oct. 14. During that event, freshman
Will Spring (Concord, Mass.) fired the lowest round of the season for the Friars, shooting a six-under 66 with seven birdies.
