BETHPAGE, N.Y. – The Providence College men's golf team wrapped up play at the Doc Gimmler Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Bethpage State Park Red Course in Bethpage, N.Y., after Sunday's third and final round was canceled due to weather. The Friars placed 12th with a team score of 578 (+18). Sophomore
Callan Fahey (Wheaton, Ill.) led Providence, tying for 21st at 142 (+2). Fahey totaled six birdies across 36 holes, the most by any Providence player on Saturday.

Yale captured the team title with a score of 547 (-13), while Yale's Theo Snyder claimed the individual title with a score of 133 (-7). Providence opened with a 291 before posting a 287 in the second round to finish at 578 (+18).
Also tied for 21st overall with a score of 142 (+2) was senior
Evan Buddenhagen (Gloucester, Mass.), who played as an individual. Buddenhagen recorded five birdies on Saturday. The 21st-place finish ties his career-best result.
