WORCESTER, Mass. - The Providence College volleyball team ran its current winning streak to three straight games as the Friars won 3-0 at Holy Cross on Tuesday night.
The Friars sweep included wins of 17-15 in the first game, 15-7 in the second game and 15-5 in the final contest.
The win improved Providence to 9-9 on the season while Holy Cross fell to 3-18 for the year.
Providence was led by Heidi Fillippi (Jr., Wooster, Ohio) who recorded 12 kills to lead the Friars while compiling a .385 hitting percentage in the match. Colleen Lee (Sr., Tonawanda, N.Y.) had 31 of the team's 33 set assists for the night.
The Friars return home for five consecutive home games beginning this weekend versus Seton Hall and Rutgers. PC faces Seton Hall on Saturday, October 23rd at noon and then the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Sunday, October 24th at 2:00 p.m.
