Siena College Saints (4-7-2, 2-2-2): Siena College travels to Providence College on Thursday, October 12 for the fifth meeting in the all-time history of both schools. Providence holds a 2-0-0 edge in the series, having defeated the Saints in 1993 (3-0) and 1994 (2-1) at PC's Glay Field. Siena enters Thursday's match with a 4-7-2 overall record. In their last outing, Siena dropped a 4-3 decision at MAAC rival Niagara on Sunday, October 8. Senior forward Jen Mischke (Massapequa, N.Y.) leads the team in scoring with eight points (three goals, two assists). In goal, senior Lisa Miceli (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) has started all 13 games for Siena. Miceli has posted a 4-7-2 record with a .817 save percentage and a 1.72 goals against average.
Providence College Friars (4-9-0, 0-5-0): The Providence College Friars return to home action on Thursday, October 4 when they host Siena College at 3:00 p.m. at PC's Glay Field. The Friars resume non-conference play after dropping a BIG EAST Northeast Division match at Boston College, 4-0, on Tuesday, October 10. Freshman goalkeeper Caroline Haines (Stillwater, Minn.) recorded a BIG EAST career-high 12 saves in the loss. In games against the MAAC conference this season, the Friars have posted a 2-0-0 record. Providence opened the 2000 campaign win two wins over Marist (August 26) and Iona (August 27). Junior forward Caitlyn Welsh (Winter Springs, Fla.) leads the Friar offensive attack into Thursday's match. Welsh tops the Friars in scoring with five goals and two assists in 12 games. In goal, Haines has posted a .808 save percentage and a 1.71 goals against average.
