PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Providence College Assistant Vice President for Athletics John Marinatto and Head Coach Tracy Kerr today announced the appointment of Erica Iverson as assistant women's soccer coach at the College. Iverson replaces Sarah Dacey who resigned in April to become an assistant women's soccer coach at the University of Tennessee.
Iverson began her coaching career in 1998 as an assistant women's soccer coach at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga. She spent two seasons at Georgia State where she was responsible for recruiting, scouting and overseeing the team's fitness and weight training schedules.
A 1998 graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Iverson played for four seasons for the Minutemen. She served as the team captain in 1996 and 1997. In 1997, Iverson earned First Team All-America accolades.
Iverson, who is a native of Walnut Creek, Calif., currently resides in West Yarmouth, Mass.
