Women's Ice Hockey Ranked No. 6 in National Polls

The Providence College women's ice hockey team moved up one spot to No. 6 in the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Poll and in the U.S. College Hockey Online Poll. The Friars defeated Boston College, 6-2, on Saturday, December 7 and fell to No. 1 Harvard, 2-1, on Sunday, December 8 in overtime.

Harvard, Minnesota-Duluth, and Minnesota stayed ranked No. 1, 2, 3, respectivedly in both polls. In the USA Today poll, New Hampshire moved up one spot to No. 4 as Dartmouth fell to No.5 St. Lawrence fell to No. 7. Brown dropped out of both Polls and was replaced by No. 10 Mercyhurst. Princeton jumped two spots to No. 8 in both polls as well.

Providence's next game is on Friday, January 3 at Northeastern at 7:00 p.m.
