WEST HARTFORD, CONN. --The Providence College volleyball team (1-22, 0-5) fell to the Hartford Hawks (7-14, 1-4) in West Hartford, Conn. in straight sets, 25-12, 25-15, 25-21.
Sophomore Mackenzie Ziegler (Portage, Wis.) collected her fifth double-double of the season after scoring 10 digs and a career high 20 assists. Sophmore Kelly Ashmore (St. Louis, Mo.) and senior Cassie Muzzonigro (Gibsonia, Pa.) led the Friars with 12 digs each. Sophomore Anna Russian (Round Rock, Texas) had a team-high seven kills. For Hartford, Kami Nethersole collected a double-double, leading the Hawks with 12 kills and 15 digs. Jackie Tamburri had a game-high 30 assists.
The Friars will host the Albany Great Danes on Sunday, October 14 at 4:00 p.m. in Alumni Hall.
