In the first set, Trzeciak notched five kills but it wasn't enough as the Pirates edged the Friars, 25-21. Sophomore Michelle Cruz (Midland Park, N.J.) registered seven digs.
In the second set, a 25-16 defeat, Trzeciak and senior Annie Russian (Round Rock, Texas) led the Friars in kills with three apiece.
Seton Hall captured the third set, 25-18, to win the match. Sophomore Kayla Fitzgerald (Redlands, Calif.) led PC in the set with four kills. Junior Jordan Wiesler (Coconut Creek, Fla.) recorded 12 assists in the stanza.
For the match, Wiesler tallied a team-best 27 assists while Cruz totaled 13 digs. Wiesler also added nine digs in the match.
Molly Grammer led the Pirates with 13 kills while Shelbey Manthorpe had a team-high 28 assists. Tessa Fournier recorded 13 digs on the night.
Next, the Friars return home to host a pair of BIG EAST matches on Friday, Sept. 26 and Saturday, Sept. 27. Providence will play Marquette on Friday and DePaul on Saturday. Start times are 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., respectively
