Sophomore Kendra Goodrich (Apple Valley, Minn.) and senior Haley Frade (Marion, Mass.) each assisted on Halvorson's second goal of the season.

Freshman Madison Sansone (Lockport, N.Y.) doubled the lead for the Friars at 11:57 of the opening frame following a play up the ice with sophomore Cassidy Carels (Bruxelles, Manitoba) and Frade. Sansone's second career goal held up through the remainder of the game as the game winning goal.

New Hampshire would narrow the margin before the end of the first period as Jonna Curtis netted a powe-play goal at to make the score 2-1. Carlee Toews recorded the lone assist on the goal.

The Friars defense shut down the New Hampshire offense through the remaining forty minutes of play. The Wildcats were held to only three shots in the second period and nine in the third. Senior Beth Hanrahan (Poolesville, Md.) secured the win with an empty net goal scored at 19:27 of the third as the Wildcats were playing with an extra skater looking to even the score. Hanrahan's team-leading eleventh goal of the season was assisted by senior Brooke Simpson (Boxborough, Mass.).

Providence junior goaltender Allie Morse (Cottage Grove, Minn.) had a strong game in goal for the Friars, stopping 21 of the 22 shots she faced. Wilkes made 27 saves for New Hampshire. New Hampshire outshot the Friars 22-20 in the match-up.
