Sara Hjalmarsson Set to Attend the Four Nations Cup for Team Sweden

Hjalmarsson, a freshman for the Friars, competed for Team Sweden during the 2018 Olympic Games in PeyongChang.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Freshman Sara Hjalmarsson (Bankeryd, Sweden) of the Providence College women's hockey team has been selected to attend the 2018 Four Nations Cup with Team Sweden. The tournament will be held from Nov. 6-10 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
 
Sweden is set to play Canada on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7:00 p.m. (CST). The team then takes on Finland on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 3:00 p.m. (CST). Finally, Sweden wraps up the preliminary games with a game against the United States on Friday, Nov. 9 at 3:00 p.m. (CST). Saturday, Nov. 10 features a bronze medal game (3:00 p.m. CST) and the gold medal game (8:00 p.m. CST). All games will be played at the Sasktel Centre in Saskatoon, Sask.
 
Hjalmarsson has played in all eight of the Friars' games so far this season. She's racked up 10 points on five goals and five assists. She is second on the team in all three categories. Against Holy Cross (Oct. 12), the rookie posted her first-career hat trick. Her efforts were rewarded by the league, as she was named Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week on Oct. 15.
