No. 7 Men's Hockey Takes Down No. 10 Boston College on the Road, 6-2

BOSTON, Mass. Jack Dugan recorded three points and four other players registered multi-point games as the No. 7 Providence College men's hockey team scored a 6-2 win on the road at No. 10 Boston College on Friday night (Oct. 25) at Conte Forum.

NOTES
- A defensive first period saw the Friars break through late on Jason O'Neill's first tally of the season at 18:35.
- The action flipped in the second period as the teams combined for five goals, four in a span of 1:39.
- Sophomore Matt Koopman notched his first goal of the year to put Providence up 2-0 but Graham McPhee answered just 32 seconds later to cut the deficit in half.
- Cam McDonald's one-timer gave the Friars a two-goal cushion once again, but Logan Hutsko responded 46 seconds later to make it a one-goal game again. It was McDonald's second of the season and it turned out to be his second game-winning marker in as many games.
- With Ron Greco given a five-minute major and game misconduct, Michael Callahan gave Providence insurance with his first of the season at 13:15 of the second period.
- Jack Dugan and Greg Printz added goals in the third period as the Friars claimed their third-consecutive victory on the road.
- Michael Lackey finished the night with 26 timely saves and has stopped 130 of 137 shots he's faced through five games.
- Dugan currently leads the NCAA in scoring with 12 points (4-8-12) in five games.
- Thompson has posted three goals and four assists during his three-game point streak.
- Jason O'Neill has posted back-to-back multi-point games with a goal and an assist.
- Printz sits tied atop the NCAA leaderboard in goals with six.

1-0 (PC) – 18:35/1st – EV – Jason O'Neill (Thompson) – Thompson gathered a turnover in the neutral zone and broke in on a 2-on-1. His shot was stopped by Knight but O'Neill finshed off the rebound.
2-0 (PC) – 8:08/2nd – EV – Matt Koopman (Nilsson) – Koopman chopped at a centering pass from Nilsson that snuck under the arm of Knight.
2-1 (BC) – 8:40/2nd – EV – Graham McPhee (unassisted) – Backhand over the glove of Lackey.
3-1 (PC) – 9:01/2nd – EV – Cam McDonald (Thompson, O'Neill) – One-timer from the point off a faceoff win.
