Recapping the Road Sweep
- Providence picked up two road wins last weekend, defeating St. Lawrence, 6-0, and No. 10/9 Clarkson, 4-2.
Parker Ford tallied two goals and
Michael Lackey made 27 saves in Friday's shutout victory.
Jack Dugan and
Tyce Thompson each posted three points in that contest to lead the Friars' offense.
- On Saturday at Clarkson, Thompson continued his impressive weekend scoring two goals. Freshman
Cam McDonald recorded the game-winning goal and Lackey made 24 saves.
- The Friars earned a weekend sweep in the North Country for the first time since Feb. 21-22, 1964.

Cracking the Top 10
Providence has two players in the top-10 nationally for both points per game and goals per game.
Jack Dugan ranks sixth nationally in points per game (2.25) and
Tyce Thompson is tied for seventh nationally (2.00). In goals per game,
Greg Printz is tied for fifth with 1.25. Thompson is close behind and tied for seventh, averaging 1.00 goals per game.
Ford Starts Strong
Freshman
Parker Ford has three goals and three assists through just four games as a Friar. His six points rank fifth best among that nation's freshmen, as he is averaging 1.50 points per game.

Four freshmen recorded their first collegiate goals over the past weekend.
Patrick Moynihan,
Luke Johnson and Ford all notched their first goals against St. Lawrence. McDonald joined the action, scoring his first goal at Clarkson.

Michael Lackey has been outstanding so far in net for the Friars. He ranks fourth nationally in goals against average (1.23), fourth in save percentage (.954) and is tied for first in shutouts with two so far this season.

Providence boasts the nation's best scoring margin, at 3.50. The Friars are tied for first in scoring defense (1.25 goals against per game) and rank fourth in scoring offense (4.75 goals per game).

Providence appeared in its fifth-ever Frozen Four last season. The Friars, who were the fourth seed in the East Regional, took down Minnesota State (6-3) and Cornell (4-0) to win the East Regional and advance. Providence fell to eventual NCAA Champion, Minnesota Duluth, 4-1.

SERIES HISTORY VS. BOSTON COLLEGE/UMASS LOWELL
• The Friars and Eagles faced off six times in 2018-19, with the Eagles claiming four of those matchups including a Hockey East Quarterfinal series win last March. BC won a decisive Game 3, 2-1 at Schneider Arena.
• Providence is 21-67-3 all-time on the road at Boston College.
• The Friars carry a six-game winning streak against the River Hawks, including 6-1 and 1-0 wins last season.

• Seniors David Cotton and Julius Mattila lead the way with seven points through four games, while Aapeli Rasanen and Jack McBain follow up with three points each.
• Spencer Knight, one of BC's four first round picks from 2019, has posted a 2.52 GAA and .924 save percentage through four appearances.

SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS
• UMass Lowell enters the weekend at 3-2-1 after suffering a series loss at home to Colgate (0-1-1) last weekend.
• Senior Kenny Hausinger and freshman Matt Brown has each registered seven points through six games. Four of the top five scores for the River Hawks are freshmen - Brown, Carl Berglund, Andre Lee and Zach Kaiser.
• Senior Tyler Wall has started five of six games and has posted a 1.18 GAA and .953 save percentage.

Beginning in the 2019-20 season, NESN and NESNplus will air more Hockey East games than ever before as the two entities further develop a relationship that began in 1984 when Hockey East and NESN were founded. The agreement secures television coverage for both men's and women's regular season contests, and extensive postseason coverage that will include both the men's and women's championship weekends.
