GAME FLOW & NOTES
The Black Bears took the lead late in the opening period with a goal off of the power play by Ally Johnson. Johnson was assisted by Ida Press and Ida Kuoppala.
Bailey Burton (Bloomington, Mass.) put the Friars on the board 15:53 into the second period period, equalizing the game at 1-1. Scoring her first goal of the season on the power play, Burton was assisted by
Chloe Gonsalves (Toronto, Ontario) and
Sandra Abstreiter (Freising, Germany).
Ally Johnson from Maine responded 5:24 into the third period with the game winning goal. In her second goal of the night, Johnson was assisted by Ella Maclean and Celine Tedenby.
Abstreiter finished with 29 saves for Providence, while Porter had 33 for the Black Bears.
