-Three players were sent off after a scrap broke out behind Princeton's net at 8:06. Patrick Moynihan was sent off for slashing while Brett Berard and Princeton's Matt Kellenberger earned matching minors for roughing.

-The Tigers capitalized on the power-play opportunity, 2-0, with a goal by Corey Andonovski at 9:37. The goal broke Providence's success streak on the penalty kill, which saw 24-consecutive opponent power play opportunities killed.

-Both teams skated through the second period scoreless and the Tigers held onto their two-goal lead heading into the third period.

-Riley Duran got the Friars on the board, 2-1, 2:34 into the final period as he blasted a long-distance shot off a feed from Michael Citara. Duran notched his second goal of the weekend and fifth of the season on the play.

-Jaxson Stauber was pulled from net at 17:26 to give the Friars the extra man in the final minutes of play.

-After a Providence coaches challenge, Princeton's Ian Murphy was assessed a five-minute major and 10-minute game misconduct for grasping the facemask at 17:42 of the third period, leaving the Friars with a five-minute power play for the remainder of regulation.

-Parker Ford found the equalizer on the power play, 2-2, just 33 seconds later with help from Patrick Moynihan and Max Crozier.

-Brett Berard netted the game-winner for the Friars, 3-2, with just 39.1 seconds remaining off a tip from Moynihan's one-timer. Nick Poisson earned the secondary assist on the play. The goal served as Berard's 12th tally of the season.

-Despite being shorthanded, Princeton managed a few looks in the final seconds trying to equalize but Stauber shut the door as the Friars concluded the first half at 14-7 and 9-2 on home ice.
