PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The No. 13 Providence College women's hockey team shutout the eighth-ranked Northeastern Huskies, 3-0, on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at Schneider Arena.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
 
-Both teams skated through the first period scoreless. Northeastern outshot the Friars 12-3.
 
-Brooke Becker (Orchard Park, N.Y.) put the Friars on the board with a power-play goal 7:38 into the second period. Lauren DeBlois (Lewiston, Maine.) and Lindsay Bochna (Toronto, Ontario) were each credited with an assist. 
 
-The Friars carried a 1-0 lead into the second intermission. 
 
-At the 4:53 mark of the third period, Bochna assisted DeBlois to another power-play goal to deepen the Friars lead, 2-0.
 
-With five minutes remaining in the third period, DeBlois was penalized for holding. The Huskies emptied their net for the 6-4-skater advantage. 
 
-The Friars fended off the Huskies for 2:30 and totaled seven blocked shots and one save. Forward Ashley Clark (North Weymouth, Mass.) recorded four of the seven blocks. 
 
-With Northeastern's goal empty, Claire Tyo (Massena, N.Y.) netted the final goal of the night with three seconds remaining in regulation. 

-Sandra Abstreiter (Freising, Germany) finished the night with 23 saves.
