-Both teams were scoreless through the opening twenty. The Terriers outshot the Friars, 10-9 in the first period.

Patrick Moynihan broke the ice for the Friars, 1-0, with a power-play goal at the 9:51 mark of the second period. Moynihan was assisted by
Brett Berard and
Nick Poisson on his 11
th strike of the season. Berard fed Moynihan with a cross-crease pass and the junior finished on a one-timer to give the Friars the lead.
-The Terriers responded just 1:41 later, 1-1, with a power-play goal from Jay O'Brien after
Michael Citara was whistled for boarding.
-Boston University found a 2-1 lead 14 seconds into the power play after
Parker Ford was assessed a five-minute major for hitting from behind at the 17:24 mark of the second.
-The Friars faced 2:24 remaining in the penalty kill going into the third. The Terriers found the back on the net 51 seconds into period three on their third power-play goal of the night by Jay O'Brien to extend the lead to 3-1
-The Terriers improved their lead, 4-1, with a goal from Brian Carrabes with 11:04 remaining in play.
