LOWELL, Mass. – The Providence College men's hockey team rallied from a 2-0 deficit but No. 16 UMass Lowell earned a 3-2 victory on Friday (Feb. 18) at Tsongas Center.

- The Friars couldn't convert on three power-play opportunities in the opening period as the teams combined for 16 penalty minutes.
- Lucas Condotta got the River Hawks on the board at the 18:14 mark on a delayed penalty to give UMass Lowell a 1-0 lead.
- Carl Berglund gave the River Hawks a 2-0 lead at 5:25 of the second period.
- After Berglund took a slashing penalty, the Friars finally broke through on the power play as
Nick Poisson netted his ninth goal of the season with assists to
Parker Ford and
Patrick Moynihan.
- At 15:48, freshman
Michael Citara wired a shot over the blocker of Savory on an odd-man rush to tie the game at 2-2. It was Citara's third of the season while
Uula Ruikka earned an assist on the play.

Guillaume Richard appeared to have given the Friars a lead at the buzzer but the play was reviewed and overturned due to contact with the goaltender.
