AUBURN, Maine – The No.13 Providence College women's hockey team skated to a 4-4 tie with the University of Maine, on Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn, Maine. The Friars went on to win the shootout, 2-1, for the extra Hockey East point.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
-The Black Bears struck first 4:31 into the first period when Alyssa Wruble scored. Rachel Enzler and Mira Seregely assisted the play.
 
-Lindsay Bochna (Toronto, Maine) scored the Friars' first goal at the 16:24 mark of the first period. Isabelle Hardy (Oakville, Ontario) and Rachel Weiss (Calgary, Alberta) were each credited with an assist.
 
-Maine's Lilli Welcke scored at 16:57 with Luisa Welcke and Kennedy Little assisting.
 
-The Black Bears carried a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.
 
-Elise Morphy scored 7:09 into the second period to give Maine a 3-1 lead.
 
-Maddy Coene (Clayton, N.Y.) netted an unassisted goal in the last second of the period to bring the Friars within one of the Black Bears, 3-2.
 
-Lauren DeBlois (Lewiston, Maine) tied it up 4:45 into the final period with help from Hunter Barnett (Caledon, Ontario) and Delaney Couture (Shrewsbury, Mass.).
 
-Sara Hjalmarsson (Bankeryd, Sweden) gave the Friars their first lead of the night, 4-3, with a goal at the 8:29 mark. Coene and Caroline Peterson (East Falmouth, Mass.) each earned an assist on the goal.
 
-Maine returned at the 13:24 mark with a power play goal by Lilli Welcke to send the game into overtime.
 
-Both teams skated through overtime scoreless.
 
-The Friars won the shootout, 2-1, securing the extra Hockey East point.
  
-Sandra Abstreiter (Freising, Germany) finished the night with 28 saves.
