Ella McBride was named All-BIG EAST First Team, Thaea Mouratidis was named All-BIG EAST Second Team and Courtnee Pickles and Stephanie Schoeley earned All-BIG EAST Third Team Honors.
NEW YORK, N.Y. - The BIG EAST announced its postseason major award winners and All-BIG EAST selections for women's soccer on Nov 5. Providence College was well-represented among the list of honorees. Ella McBride (Peterborough, Ont.) was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team. Thaea Mouratidis (Toronto, Ont.) was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team. Courtnee Pickles (Methuen, Mass.) and Stephanie Schoeley (Thedford, Ont.) each earned All-BIG EAST Third Team honors. The Friars' four All-BIG EAST selections mark the most Providence has received since 2023, when they earned five All-BIG EAST selections. It also marks only the second time that Providence has received four-or-more All-BIG EAST selections.
McBride started in 15 games this season, and registered 1,316 minutes for the Friars at midfield and defense. The senior tallied five points on two goals and one assist . She helped anchor the team on defense by contributing to four shutouts. McBride was previously recognized on the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team and earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on Aug. 25. McBride has earned BIG EAST postseason accolades in each of the last two seasons.
Mouratidis played in 16 games for the Friars this season, including 15 appearances in the starting lineup. The redshirt junior registered 1,321 minutes at midfield. Mouratidis closed the season tied for second on the team in points, with seven. She scored one goal and registered a team-high of five assists. Mouratidis' totals in assists (five) and points (seven) marked career highs in both categories.
Pickles played in 16 games for the Friars this season, including 14 appearances in the starting lineup. The freshman registered 1,140 minutes at forward. Pickles finished her freshman campaign tied for second on the team in points, with seven. On Aug. 25, Pickles was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll following her first career goal at Providence.
Schoeley started in all 16 games in her second season with the Friars. The sophomore anchored the Friars' back line with a team-high 1,427 minutes and contributed to four shutouts on defense. Schoeley recorded a career-high three goals this season, a mark that tied for second on the team. She registered her first multi goal performance with two goals at DePaul on Nov. 1. Schoeley was recognized by the BIG EAST twice this season as BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 8 and BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Oct. 6.
