Men’s Soccer Shuts Out Boston College, 2-0

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College men's soccer team defeated the Boston College Eagles, 2-0, in a BIG EAST / ACC matchup on Aug. 29 on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium. The Friars improved to 1-2-0 to start the season. Seniors Cameron Yriondo (Sammamish, Wash.) scored his first goal of the season and Caden Stafford (Cincinnatus, N.Y.) added a late insurance goal to give the Friars their first win of the 2025 season. Redshirt freshman Ryan Carney (Dunstable, Mass.) earned the clean sheet in net, making one save.

GAME FLOW & NOTES

• The Friars recorded two yellow cards in the first 45 minutes.
