DORADO, Puerto Rico – The Providence College men's golf team wrapped up the three-day Dorado Beach Collegiate on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at TPC Dorado Beach in Dorado, Puerto Rico. The Friars finished 14th in the 15-team field with a team score of 920 (+56). Junior Campbell Skelly (Charleston, S.C.) led Providence, carding a 221 (+5) to tie for 34th overall.
Stetson claimed the team title with a 849 (-15) across three rounds, while Stetson's Matthis Lefevre earned the individual title with a 210 (-6). Providence opened the tournament with a 310 before improving to a 304 in round two and closing with a 306 in the final round.
Skelly highlighted the week with a two-under 70 in the second round, tying for the eighth-best round of the day. The performance marked the lowest round by a Friar in the tournament. He finished the week with 11 birdies, the most by any Providence player.
