PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College Athletic Director
Steve Napolillo announced today [April 1] three title changes to the staff of the Providence College cross country and track and field programs.
Tim Brock has been named Director of Cross Country/Track and Field and Head Coach of Men's Cross Country/Track and Field. Catarina Rocha '17 has been named Head Coach of Women's Cross Country and Assistant Coach of Men's Cross Country and Men's and Women's Track and Field.
Sinead Delahunty Evans '93 will now serve as Head Coach of Women's Track and Field and Assistant Coach of Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track and Field. These changes will take effect following the retirement of Director of Cross Country and Track and Field
Ray Treacy in June.
"Tim, Cat and Sinead are all very deserving of these promotions," Providence College Athletic Director

"Each of them has played a vital role in the success of our cross country and track programs and we are confident they will continue to build on the championship tradition established here at Providence College. Their leadership, experience and commitment to our student-athletes will ensure a seamless transition into this next chapter. I'm excited to see this staff carry forward the excellence that Coach Treacy established over his 41 years leading the program."
Brock entered his 12th season at Providence College in 2025-26 and has played an integral role in the success of the Friars' cross country and track and field programs. During his tenure, he has helped guide multiple teams to NCAA Championship appearances, including a third-place finish for the women's cross country team at the 2024 NCAA Championships, its best result since 2013. Brock has coached numerous All-Americans, BIG EAST champions and record-setting performers, while also contributing to team success at the conference and national levels, including an IC4A Championship for the men's indoor track team in 2023. Prior to Providence, Brock served as an assistant coach at the University of Delaware and North Carolina State, where he helped produce NCAA qualifiers, All-Americans and conference champions.
Catarina Rocha '17 entered her fifth year on the Providence College coaching staff this season after a decorated career as a Friar student-athlete. Since joining the staff in 2021, she has helped guide the women's cross country team to multiple NCAA Championship appearances, including a third-place finish in 2024, the program's best result since 2013. Rocha has played a key role in the development of All-Americans, BIG EAST champions and record-setting relay teams, including a Championship of America title in the 4x1,500 meters at the Penn Relays. A two-time All-American and four-time BIG EAST champion during her collegiate career, Rocha was a member of Providence's 2013 Cross Country NCAA Championship team and was named the College's Athlete of the Year in 2018.
Sinead Delahunty Evans '93 entered her second season on the Providence College coaching staff in 2025-26 after a standout career as both a coach and student-athlete. In her first season with the Friars, she helped guide the women's cross country team to a third-place finish at the 2024 NCAA Championships, while contributing to multiple BIG EAST titles, All-America honors and a Championship of America victory in the 4x1,500 meters at the Penn Relays. Prior to Providence, Delahunty Evans served as an assistant coach at Boston College and as head coach at Brandeis, where she mentored 37 All-Americans and multiple national champions. A six-time All-American at Providence, Delahunty Evans was also a two-time Olympian for Ireland and a member of the Providence College Athletics Hall of Fame.
