The duo led Providence through a 1-1 midweek slate.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – It was announced today (Apr. 6) that Providence College softball student‑athletes Nikki Gallardo (Lexington, S.C.) and Tori Grifone (Sussex, N.J.) were named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll following strong performances during the Friars' 1-1 week.
Gallardo hit .833 (5-for-6) across the two games, recording two doubles, four RBI, and two runs scored in matchups against Boston College (L, 10-7) and Dayton (W, 8-4).
Grifone earned the win against Dayton, throwing 5.0 shutout innings with zero hits allowed and eight strikeouts, holding the Flyers to a .000 batting average.
