Women's Basketball Reveals 2026-27 BIG EAST Conference Schedule

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's basketball program released its 2026-27 BIG EAST Conference schedule today [Sept. 17]. The Friars are set to play a 20-game schedule, facing each of their 10 conference opponents once at home and once on the road. Game times and broadcast assignments will be released at a later date. Providence will face St. John's in its BIG EAST opener on Friday, Dec. 4 at Carnesecca Arena in Queens, N.Y.
The Friars' BIG EAST home opener is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 10 against Seton Hall. Providence's remaining home BIG EAST match-ups will be versus Villanova (Sunday, Dec. 20), Marquette (Thursday, Dec. 31), St. John's (Sunday, Jan. 10), Creighton (Sunday, Jan. 17), Butler (Wednesday, Jan. 27), Georgetown (Wednesday, Feb. 3), Xavier (Saturday, Feb. 6), DePaul (Sunday, Feb. 14) and Connecticut (Thursday, Feb. 25). All home games, except for the Friars' match-up against UConn, will be played at Alumni Hall / Mullaney Gymnasium. Providence and Connecticut will square off in downtown Providence at Amica Mutual Pavilion.
In addition to the Friars' season opener against St. John's (Dec. 4) in Queens, Providence's remaining BIG EAST road games include, Georgetown (Wednesday, Dec. 23), Xavier (Sunday, Jan. 3), Butler (Wednesday, Jan. 6), DePaul (Wednesday, Jan. 20), Villanova (Wednesday, Jan. 23), UConn (Sunday, Jan. 31), Seton Hall (Thursday, Feb. 11), Creighton (Thursday, Feb. 18) and Marquette (Sunday, Feb. 21).
Providence College is slated to open the regular-season schedule against Stonehill College on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at Alumni Hall in Providence, R.I. Fans can get their first look at the team during an exhibition game against Southern New Hampshire at Alumni Hall on Thursday, Oct. 29.
