The Friars will travel to Boston, Mass. for a match on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 1:00 p.m. to face off against the Terriers.
Boston, Mass. – The Providence College women's soccer team will continue its two-game road stretch versus the Boston University Terriers (2-4-0) on Sunday, Sept. 6 in Boston, Mass. Kick off will be at 1:00 p.m. and will be available for streaming on ESPN+.

SCOUTING THE FRIARS… The Providence College women's soccer team recently battled back from a two-goal deficit to tie Rutgers, 3-3, in a weekend match on Sunday, Aug. 30 in Piscataway, N.J. The Friars improved to a 2-0-4 overall record, making it their best start in six games during the 21st century. Freshmen Jocy Koffi (Abidjan, Ivory Coast) scored twice for the Friars, notching her first multi-goal collegiate game. Carolyn Hinkle (Millersville, Pa.) also scored, registering her first goal as a Friar. Eight of the 10 Friar goals this season have come from newcomers to the team.
BIG EAST WEEKLY HONORS…
SCOUTING THE TERRIERS… BU comes into Sunday's match with a 2-4-0 record following a 2-1 loss against Harvard on Thursday, Sept. 3. The Terriers were picked second in the 2026 Patriot League Preseason Poll, grabbing four first-place votes. Three Terriers received All-Patriot League recognition this season; seniors Helene Tyburczy, Ciara Kennedy and junior Olivia Avellar. Tyburczy was voted the conference's Defensive Player of the Year, coming off the 2025 season as a starter for all 19 matches. She led the Terriers defense to 10 shutouts in 18 games, while recording two goals herself in nearly 1,700 minutes of action. Junior Jaiden Schultz leads the Terriers in scoring with seven points on three goals and one assist through six games.
SERIES HISTORY AGAINST BU… The Friars hold a 2-6-0 all-time record against the Terriers. In their last meeting, BU earned a 2-1 win in Boston, Mass. during the 2022 season.
UP NEXT… The Friars will be back in Providence, R.I. to face off against University of Maine (2-3-1) on Thursday, Sept. 10. The match will start at 6:00 p.m. and be streamed on ESPN+. The Friars are 11-2-0 all-time against the Black Bears, after defeating Maine, 1-0, on the road during the 2016 season.

- Monday, Aug. 17 - Stephanie Schoeley (Thedford, Ont.) was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week. The junior anchored the Friars' defense, logging 180 minutes of action across two games and helped limit UMass Lowell to only one shot on goal in the match.
- Monday, Aug. 17 - Jocy Koffi was named the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week, after scoring her first and second career goals across the two matches and recorded 169 minutes on the field.
- Monday, Aug. 31 – Jocy Koffi was once again named the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week, after scoring her fifth collegiate goal in six games, including her first multi-goal game against Rutgers.
