PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College men's cross country team is ranked 18th in the MONDO Division I Men's Cross Country National Poll, which was released on Tuesday, October 7.
The Friars received 196 points and fell one spot to No. 18. Stanford (487 points) received 14 of the 16 first-place votes and remained at No. 1. Wisconsin (466 points), Northern Arizona (448 points), Brigham Young (423 points) and Colorado (413 points) round out the top five. Providence is one of four BIG EAST schools in the top 20. Georgetown (249 points) is ranked 14th, Notre Dame (223 points) is 16th and Villanova (192 points) is 19th.
Providence did not compete last week and will return to action on October 10 at the New England Championship.
