Providence College lacrosse coach Chris Burdick announced on Monday, December 15, 2003 that five student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent to attend Providence College, beginning in 2004-2005. The five players include midfielder Pat Bonanno (Lido Beach, N.Y.), long stick midfielder John-Paul DiMartino (Dix Hills, N.Y.), attackman Devin McBride (Marbelhead, Mass.), attackman Ryan Nixon (Wyckoff, N.J.) and attackman Colin Reposa (East Falmouth, Mass.).

Bonanno, who is currently playing for Long Island powerhouse Chaminade and was an All-Star at the Bulldog-Friar and Four Star lacrosse camps, will be converted to midfield at Providence. "Pat is growing into his big frame and shoots well with either hand, he brings a great knowledge of the offensive game", Coach Burdick stated.

DiMartino is a three-sport athlete at Half Hollow Hills High School East participating in football, track and lacrosse. He was also a member of the Long Island Under-17 team. According to Coach Burdick "JP has great speed and will be a great addition to our defensive rebuilding effort following the graduation of Brian O'Rorke (Montclair, N.J.), Ben Brown (Ranch Santa Fe, Calif.) and Roland Ostopoff (West Hartford, Conn.)".

McBride is a three-sport athlete who currently plays football, basketball and lacrosse at St. Georges School. "Devin is a big, strong dodger who can create for himself and set up his teammates" Coach Burdick said. McBride was outstanding at the Top 205 lacrosse camp and finished second in the Independent School league in scoring in 2003 with 70 points. He was also named an Independent School League and Boston Globe All-Star.

Nixon, the brother of current Friar freshman Sean Nixon, is a senior at Ramapo High School. Coach Burdick calls him "a very solid dodger and finisher who will help add to our scoring depth at the attack position".

Reposa, an attackman from Falmouth High School, scored 51 goals and 25 assists in 2003 and attended the Top Star Camp where he was named to the Fab 40. According to Coach Burdick, "Colin has a championship work ethic and has very good speed. He's the type of person that you want in your program".
