The Providence College men's cross country team earned a spot in the national poll announced on Tuesday, Sept. 30. The men earned a 12th –place ranking after their third-place performance at the Coast-to-Coast Battle In Beantown at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. on Sept. 26.
The men’s team moved up four spots in the national poll from last week (Sept. 26) and jumped up one spot to second in the regional poll. The men started the season ranked third in the Northeast Region and 16th in the nation.
The last time the men were ranked in the top-12 in the nation was on Nov. 14, 2006 when they were ranked 11th.
The Friars will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 11 for the New England Championships at Franklin Park. Races will commence at 12:00 p.m.
