PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College volleyball team fell to Butler in straight sets (25-20, 25-20, 25-11) on Saturday, Oct. 11 in Providence, R.I. Butler improves to 12-7 overall and 4-3 in the BIG EAST Conference, while the Friars drop to 4-17 (0-7 BIG EAST).

Kayla Fitzgerald recorded 13 kills and 11 digs for the Friars, while Jordan Wiesler picked up 31 of the Friars' 33 assists on the day. Michelle Cruz led Providence with a team-high 17 digs.

Butler saw two players reach double-digit kills as Belle Obert and Stephanie Kranda registered 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Jadyn Yarling posted a game-high 22 digs for the Bulldogs.

Providence returns to action with back-to-back road games vs. Georgetown (Oct. 17) and Creighton (Oct. 19).
