Shane Quinn Named BIG EAST Male Athlete Of The Week

The BIG EAST Conference announced the BIG EAST Athletes of the Week for cross country on Oct. 21. Providence senior Shane Quinn (Waterford, Ireland) was named BIG EAST Male Athlete of the Week. The honor marked Quinn's third BIG EAST Cross Country Male Athlete of the Week accolade during his career at Providence and his second of the season.
Quinn earned the honor after finishing 10th at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational in Madison, Wis. on Friday, Oct. 17. Quinn was the first Friar to cross the line in a time of 23:56 and helped the team finish 11th in a competitive field.
Next up for Quinn will be the BIG EAST Championships on Friday, Oct. 31 in Carmel, Ind.
