The Providence College men's cross country team finished second at the CCSU Mini Meet in New Britain, Conn. on Friday, Oct. 24. Sophomore Trevor Crawley (Cumberland, R.I.) was the first across the line for the Friars with a time of 14:57.46 for second-place.
Junior Stephen Robertson (Wakefield, Mass.) also finished in the top-three. Robertson placed third in a time of 15:06.32 over the 5km course. Fellow classmates Christian Costello (Ridgewood, N.J.) and Brendan Sullivan (Foxboro, Mass.) were the third and fourth Friars, respectively. Costello placed 12th (15:18.25), while Sullivan finished 24th.
The fifth scorer for Providence was sophomore Jake Feinstein (Sandy Hook, Conn.). Feinstein finished in a time of 15:30.67 for 27th.
Rounding out the Friars top-seven, junior Joseph Vercollone (Pembroke, Mass.) finished 45th (15:44.79), while freshman Brendan Ungemach (Wayne, N.J.) finished 60th (15:53.33).
The Friars will return to action for the BIG EAST Championships in Carmel, Ind. on Friday, Oct. 31. The men's race is set to go off at 11:50 a.m.
