Megan Hamilton Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College junior midfielder Megan Hamilton (Warrington, Pa.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Oct. 10. It marks the second time this season that Hamilton has been recognized as a member of the weekly honor roll, having previously earned the honor on Sept. 19.
Last week, Hamilton notched the game-winning goal in a critical 2-1, overtime, victory against BIG EAST foe Quinnipiac on Oct. 8. It marked the Friars' only game of the week. Providence and Quinnipiac entered the game in a tie for second place in the league standings - as teams continue to fight for position in the four-team BIG EAST Tournament. For Hamilton, it marked her fifth goal of the season, and first game winning goal of the year.
The Friars are currently 10-3 overall (3-1 BIG EAST) and resume conference play on Friday, Oct. 14 against Georgetown. The match is slated for 1:00 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
