PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College field hockey team defeated Bryant, 1-0, on Sunday, Sept. 4 at Lennon Family Field in Providence, R.I. Senior Adrienne Houle (Burlington, Ontario) netted the game-winning goal in the 64th minute to lift the Friars to victory.
The first half of play ended in a scoreless draw, as neither team was able to generate any dangerous attacking opportunities. Providence led Bryant in shots after 35 minutes of play, 2-1, while Bryant held a 3-2 edge in penalty corners.
