BOSTON, Mass. – The Providence College men's track and field team competed at the Boston University Valentine Invitational at Boston University on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026. Sophomore
Elliott Pugh (Tauranga, New Zealand) placed 17
th overall in a very strong field in the mile in a personal best time of 3:59.60.
In addition to Pugh, the Friar men recorded multiple strong finishes in the mile. Junior
Tyler Bartlett (Fairfield, Conn.) also ran a personal best time, finishing the mile in 4:04.02. Sophomore
Ryan LoCicero (Bloomfield, N.J.) won his heat in a personal best time of 4:07.55. Also competing in the mile were freshman
Oliver Neate (Sydney, Australia), who finished in a time of 4:10.86 and sophomore
Daniel Prescott (Christchurch, New Zealand) (4:13.86).
Sophomore Tom Breen (Providence, R.I) had a successful race in the 800 meters as he placed 27th in a time of 1:52.16.
Senior
Kyle Bloomer (Darien, Conn.) competed in the 400 meters and finished 29th in a time of 48.80.
The Friar men's team will return to action on Feb. 14 at the URI Coaches Invitational in Kingston, R.I.
