The Providence College men's cross country team finished 11thout of 34 teams at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational on Friday, Oct. 17 in Madison, Wis. Senior Shane Quinn (Waterford, Ireland) finished 10th overall and was the first Friar to finish. Quinn finished in a time of 23:56 over the 8km course.
Fellow classmates Benjamin Connor (Derby, England) and Brian Doyle (Swansea, Mass.) were the next to cross the line for the Friars. Connor finished in 31st in a time of 24:11, while Doyle finished 62nd (24:23). Junior Julian Oakley (Tauranga, New Zealand) finished just one second behind Doyle (24:24) as Providence's fourth scorer in 68th.
Rounding out the Friars top-six finishers were junior Harvey Dixon (Aldershot, England) and senior Liam Hillery (Smithfield, R.I.). Dixon and Hillery finished 165th (25:05) and 178th (25:11), respectively.
Up next for the Friars is the CCSU mini meet in New Britain, Conn. on Friday, Oct. 24. Races are set to go off at 3:00 p.m.
