Friars head to Omaha, Neb. to face the Bluejays on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 9:00 p.m. (ET) on TNT / truTV.

PROVIDENCE VS. CREIGHTON ALL-TIME... The Friars and Bluejays have met 25 times during the history of the two women's basketball programs. Creighton leads the all-time series, 20-5. 

FRIARS AND BLUEJAYS AT D.J. SOKOL ARENA... Three of the Friars' five wins in the all-time series against Creighton have come at D.J. Sokol Arena in Omaha, Neb. Creighton leads the series vs. Providence on its home court, 9-3. Creighton has won three of the last five games vs. Providence at D.J. Sokol Arena, including the last meeting on Feb. 2, 2025 (79-66).

FIRST MEETING OF 2025-26 SEASON SERIES... The Friars won the first meeting of the 2025-26 season series, 80-77, on Jan. 17 at Alumni Hall to snap a four-game winless streak to Creighton. Four Friars scored in double figures, including Sabou Gueye (22), Orlagh Gormley (21), Sami Mancini (12) and Sophi Hall (10). The Friars scored a season-high 80 points on a season-best 52-percent shooting (30-58). Providence converted 57-percent of its attempts from three-point territory (8-14) and 86-percent from the foul line (12-14). Kennedy Townsend paced Creighton in the scoring column with 18 points. The Bluejays shot 41-percent from the field (29-70), but hit just 9-31 attempts from beyond the arc (.290).

20/20... Sabou Gueye (22 points) and Orlagh Gormley (21 points) each eclipsed the 20-point mark in the Friars' game against Creighton on Jan. 17. The last time two Friars scored 20-points in the same BIG EAST game dates back to Jan. 24, 2024 against Seton Hall. Grace Efosa scored 29 points and Marta Morales Romero added 26 in a 82-76 victory in overtime. Additionally, the last time two Friars scored 20-points in a BIG EAST game of regulation length was on Jan. 27, 2017 in a 66-64 win over Marquette. Jovana Nogic scored 27 points and Sarah Beal chipped in 25.

FOUR-GAME WIN STREAK COMES TO AN END AT UCONN... The Friars recently recorded a four-game win streak in BIG EAST Conference play, which came to a halt at top-ranked UConn on Feb. 22. Providence posted wins over Xavier (66-50), Butler (73-64), Georgetown (59-54) and DePaul (66-60). The last time Providence won four-consecutive BIG EAST regular-season games dates back to the 1995-96 campaign. 

HOME-SWEET-HOME... The Friars have recorded 11 of their 14 victories this season at home in Alumni Hall, including five of their seven BIG EAST wins. When playing away from home, the Friars have posted a 3-9 record [2-8 in true road games; 1-1 at a neutral site]. Providence true road wins have come against DePaul (Jan. 4) and Georgetown (Feb. 14). 

TURNOVERS PLAGUE FRIARS AT UCONN... In its most recent game on Feb. 22 at top-ranked UConn, Providence committed a season-high 39 turnovers in an 81-38 loss. The Huskies took advantage, outscoring the Friars 39-14 in points off turnovers. Princess Moody was the lone Friar in double figures with 11 points. The rookie has recorded two double-digit games this season - with both coming against the Huskies. Payton Dunbar tallied nine points, while Orlagh Gormley checked in with five points, two steals and a team-high six boards and four assists.

65+... Providence is 9-1 on the year when scoring 65+ points, including a 4-0 mark when scoring 70+. Providence suffered its only loss of the season when scoring 65-or-more points on Jan. 27 at Villanova (83-68). 

SABOU GUEYE PROVING TO BE ONE OF THE TOP PLAYERS IN BIG EAST... Grad transfer Sabou Gueye is a seven-time BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll selection this season. Through 29 games overall, she ranks fifth in the BIG EAST in scoring (14.9 ppg), 10th in rebounding (6.0 rpg), third in field-goal percentage (.492), 10th in steals (1.8 spg) and 14th in blocked shots (0.83 bpg). In BIG EAST Conference regular-season action, she ranks fourth in scoring (15.8 ppg), sixth in rebounding (6.6 rpg), third in field-goal percentage (.488), 10th in steals (1.8 spg), tied for 13th in blocked shots (0.78 bpg), tied for third in offensive rebounding (2.29 orpg), eighth in defensive boards (4.35 drpg) and 11th in minutes played (31.04 mpg).

FLOOR GENERAL... Sophomore Orlagh Gormley has returned to the court as the Friars' floor general after sitting out the final 22 games of her freshman campaign with an injury. She's impacting both ends of the floor, leading the team in assists (3.9 apg) and steals (2.3 spg), while contributing 8.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. Gormley has recorded 3+ assists in 23 of the 28 games she has played, including 10 games with five-or-more assists. She has dished 5+ assists in six of the 17 league games she has played in and ranks seventh among BIG EAST players in assists per game during conference play (3.82 apg) and fourth in steals (2.59 spg).

100+ ASSISTS IN A SINGLE SEASON... Orlagh Gormley has dished 109 assists this season (3.9 apg). She is just the sixth Friar in the last 25 years to record 100 assists in a single season and the six players combined to do it eight times. In the last 10 years, only Janai Crooms has achieved the feat.

ON THE DEFENSIVE... Orlagh Gormley has collected 64 steals this season (with two regular-season games remaining), which marks the most by a Friar in a single-season since 2012-13. That year, Symone Roberts recorded 98 thefts. Additionally, Gormley's 64 steals are the third most by a sophomore in program history. She has picked up 3+ steals in 10 games this season, including a career-high nine vs. DePaul.

TENEISIA BROWN INCHING CLOSER TO 1,500 CAREER POINTS... Graduate transfer Teneisia Brown is inching closer to the 1,500-career points milestone. Brown arrived at Providence for her final season after stops at Merrimack (2020-22) and Fairleigh Dickinson (2023-25). She averaged double figures in the scoring column during each of her last three seasons of college basketball and currently ranks second on the team in scoring for the Friars through 29 games (10.0 ppg). Brown has a career scoring total of 1,476 points heading into Thursday's game at Creighton and needs 24 points to reach the milestone.  

SABOU GUEYE NOTCHES SEVENTH 20-POINT GAME... Sabou Gueye scored a career-high 29 points against Xavier on Feb. 8. It marked her seventh 20-point game of the season, which ranks first on the team and fifth in the BIG EAST. Gueye recorded just two 20-point games during her previous three seasons of NCAA Division I college basketball. Five of Gueye's 20-point performances this season have come during BIG EAST regular-season play. Three other players on the Friars' roster have hit 20 points this year. Payton Dunbar scored 22 points against Boston College (Nov. 15), Orlagh Gormley recorded 21 points against Creighton (Jan. 17) and Teneisia Brown tallied 24 points against Marquette (Feb. 4).

TENEISIA BROWN RANKS 19TH AMONG ACTIVE NCAA DIVISION I PLAYERS CAREER REBOUND... Teneisia Brown eclipsed 900 career rebounds in the Friars' game against St. John's on Jan. 27. In 131 career games, Brown has hauled in 938 boards for an average of 7.2 rebounds per game. Brown ranks 19th among active NCAA Division I players in career rebounds. This season, Brown is averaging a team-best 6.0 boards per game, which ranks ninth in the BIG EAST.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE TROUBLE... Teneisia Brown recorded her team-best third double-double on Feb. 18 vs. DePaul. She finished the game with 14 points and 12 boards. Two of her three double-doubles have come during BIG EAST play. Brown also posted double-doubles against Central Connecticut (12 pts/14 rebs) and St. John's (11 pts/10 rebs). Sabou Gueye is second on the team in double-doubles. Gueye tallied 16 points and 12 rebounds vs. Boston College and 16 points and 12 rebounds vs. Xavier. 

TENEISIA BROWN NETS FIRST 20+ POINT GAME AS A FRIAR... Teneisia Brown eclipsed the 20-point plateau for the first time as a Friar on Feb. 4 at Marquette. She scored 24 points on 11-21 shooting from the field. Brown is the first Friar to score 20+ points off the bench since Nariah Scott tallied 20 points vs. Georgetown on Feb. 21, 2023. Prior to arriving at Providence, Brown recorded 20+ points in 10 games.

DOUBLE DIGITS... Sabou Gueye leads the Friars in double-digit scoring games (21) and 20-point games (seven). Additionally, she has scored in double figures in each of the last 10 games. Nine other players on the roster have reached double figures, including Teneisia Brown (16), Orlagh Gormley (10), Payton Dunbar (eight), Ashley Dinges (four), Sophi Hall (four), Princess Moody (two), Nalani Kaysia (one), Riley Hamburger (one), Sami Mancini (one) and Audrey Shields (one). 

SABOU GUEYE NAMED TO BIG EAST WEEKLY HONOR ROLL FOR A SEVENTH TIME... Sabou Gueye was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, Feb. 16.  It marked her seventh appearance of the season on the league's weekly awards list. The previous week, Gueye paced the Friars with 18.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week. She also added 2.0 assists and 1.0 blocked shot per game while shooting 50-percent from the field (13-26) and 91-percent from the foul line (10-11). She tallied 19 points, eight boards, two assists and two blocks against Butler on Feb. 11. She closed the week with 17 points, seven rebounds and two assists at Georgetown. She scored 11 of her 17 points in a pivotal second half to rally the Friars from a seven-point halftime deficit.

FRIARS POST LARGEST COMEBACK VICTORY SINCE 2017... The Friars overcame a 19-point deficit to defeat DePaul, 69-59, on Jan. 4 in Chicago, Ill. It marks the largest comeback victory since Nov. 11, 2017, when Providence rallied from a 20-point deficit to defeat Northeastern, 98-95, in overtime.

LARGEST COMEBACK IN BIG EAST PLAY SINCE 2013... The Friars overcame a 19-point deficit to defeat DePaul, 69-59, on Jan. 4. It marks the largest comeback win in BIG EAST play since Jan. 23, 2013. On that day, the Friars rallied from a 21-point deficit to defeat Villanova, 65-60, in overtime.

MOST STEALS BY A FRIAR IN A SINGLE GAME SINCE 2008-09 SEASON... Sophomore Orlagh Gormley recorded a career-high nine steals in the Friars' game against DePaul (Jan. 4). Her nine steals are the most by a Friar since Sarah Beal collected 10 against Bryant on Dec. 12, 2009. 

SOPHI HALL PERFECT EN ROUTE TO A CAREER-BEST 18 POINTS... Junior Sophi Hall played 13 minutes off the bench in the Friars' match-up against Yale (Nov. 21) and recorded a career-high 18 points. Sixteen of her 18 points came in the second half. She was perfect from the field (5-5), including a 3-3 showing from beyond the arc. She also was 5-5 from the foul line.

BIG EAST PRESEASON POLL... The Friars were picked to finish 10th in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll, released at the league's annual media day on Oct. 21 at Madison Square Garden. Last season, Providence completed the year with a 13-19 overall record and claimed a seventh-place finish in the regular-season standings with a 6-12 conference record. Heading into Sunday's game vs. UConn, the Friars are alone in seventh place with a 7-10 overall record.

WHAT'S NEXT... The Friars will conclude the regular-season schedule on Sunday, March 1 against Marquette. The game will be played at Alumni Hall in Providence, R.I. and is scheduled to tip off at 5:30 p.m. on Peacock. Prior to the game, Providence will honor four players who will be completing their college eligibility, including Sabou Gueye, Teneisia Brown, Eseosa Imafidon and Nalani Kaysia.
