SCOUTING PROVIDENCE FIELD HOCKEY:
• The Providence College field hockey team enters the weekend with a 7-3 overall record and will host Temple in its 2014 BIG EAST opener on Friday, Oct. 3 at 5 p.m., followed by a non-conference match against Quinnipiac on Sunday, Oct. 5 at 1:00 p.m. Providence is currently in the midst of a five-game win streak, which began on Sept. 14 with a 5-1 victory over Central Michigan.
• The Friars have scored 23 goals during their five-game win streak for an average of 4.6 goals per game. Providence tallied a season-high eight goals during the streak in a 8-0 victory against Columbia on Sept. 21. The Friars' eight goals vs. the Lions is tied for the most goals scored in a single game at Lennon Family Field, which opened in 2005.
• Four Friars have cracked double-digit points this season, led by freshman Megan Hamilton (Warrington, Pa.). Hamilton has recorded 18 points on eight goals and two assists. Senior Steph Guglielmo (Castle Rock, Colo.) is second on the team in scoring with 17 points (7 goals / 3 assists), followed by seniors Daniella Bernasconi (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) and Henni Tietze (Sankt Augustin, Germany). Bernasconi has 14 points on six goals and two assists, while Tietze has registered 10 points on three goals and four assists.
• Senior Deidra Clymer (South Windsor, Conn.) has played 701 minutes in goal this season. She has recorded 41 saves and has allowed 18 goals for a 1.80 goals against average and a 0.695 save percentage.
• Providence College ranks first in the BIG EAST in scoring margin (+1.56), scoring average (3.31), goals scored (34), assists (22) and assists per game (2.20).
• Freshman Megan Hamilton (Warrington, Pa.) is second in the BIG EAST Conference in points (18), points per game (1.80), goals (eight) and goals per game (0.80). Temple's Amber Youtz leads each of those categories heading into the weekend.
• Providence has out-shot its opponents, 152-95, and holds a 56-49 edge in penalty corners.

SCOUTING TEMPLE:
• Temple is currently ranked No. 14 in the NFHCA Division I National Coaches' Poll and enters Friday's game vs. Providence with a 7-3 overall record. The Owls will make their first-ever trip to Providence, R.I. to face the Friars. Temple is 3-0 all-time vs. Providence College, including a 1-0 record in BIG EAST regular-season games.
• Amber Youtz leads Temple with 22 points on 10 goals and two assists. She is the only Owl to crack double-digits in the scoring column this season through 10 games. Katie Foran is second among her teammates in scoring with nine points on two goals and five assists. Tricia Light has eight points on four goals.
• Amber Youtz currently leads the BIG EAST Conference in points (22), points per game (2.20), goals (10) and goals per game (1.00).
• Lizzy Millen has played 633 minutes in goal for Temple this season and owns a 1.33 goals against average and 0.831 save percentage. She tops the BIG EAST in saves (59) and save percentage (0.831).

SCOUTING QUINNIPIAC:
• Quinnipiac enters Sunday's game with a 3-6 overall record. The Bobcats lost their most recent game on Sept. 28 against Maine, 4-1. Prior to that loss, Quinnipiac earned back-to-back victories against Vermont on Sept. 21 (3-2) and Hofstra on Sept. 25 (4-2).
• Danielle Allan leads Quinnipiac's offense with 12 points on five goals and two assists. Lea Dietrichs is second on the team with seven points on two goals and a team-best three assists.
• Megan Conaboy has played 647 minutes in goal for the Bobcats and has recorded a 2.38 goals against average and a 0.541 save percentage. She has one shut-out victory this season, which she picked up against Holy Cross (2-0) on Sept. 10.
