PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College senior field hockey player Megan Guilbert (Morganville, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, Oct. 2. It marked the second-consecutive week that Guilbert was recognized on the honor roll, and third time this season overall.

The senior goalkeeper posted a 0.909 save percentage and a 1.00 goals against average in two games last week. The Huskies entered the game averaging 4.33 goals per game, which ranked third in the nation. Guilbert closed the weekend with her second shutout victory of the season as Providence defeated Fairfield, 1-0. She recorded eight saves in the match.

The Friars have posted a 7-4 overall record this season, including a 2-1 mark in the BIG EAST Conference. Providence will return to action against BIG EAST foe Quinnipiac on Friday, Oct. 6. The match is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be played at Lennon Family Field in Providence, R.I. The Friars will remain home for a non-conference match-up against Massachusetts on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 1:00 p.m.
