Men's Lacrosse Defeats Holy Cross, 12-11

WORCESTER, Mass. -- Sophomore Jim Dooley scored four goals, including the game winner, to lead Providence College to a 12-11 win against Holy Cross in men's lacrosse action on Wednesday, April 21 in Worcester, Mass.

With 9:31 remaining in the game, Friar senior Matt Pymm fired in his third goal of the game to give PC an 11-10 lead. Holy Cross evened the game at 11-11 when the Crusader's John Price notched his fourth goal of the contest with 6:37 remaining in the fourth quarter. One minute later, Dooley netted his fourth tally of the game to give the Friars their second win of the season.

PC netminder junior Brian McCarthy recorded 13 saves in the win.

With the win, Providence raised its record to 2-10 overall, while Holy Cross fell to 1-12 overall.

The Friars will return to action on Saturday, April 24 against Marist College at Poughkeepsie, N.Y. at 1:00 p.m.
