HARTFORD, Conn. -- The University of Hartford defeated the Providence College Friars, 16-9, on Saturday, April 25 in men's lacrosse action at Hartford, Conn.
The Friars trailed 5-3 after a closely played first two quarters. However, the Hawks outscored the Friars, 6-3, in the third quarter and took control of the game.
The Friars were led on offense by sophomore Ken Leahy who tallied three goals.
PC goalkeeper Rob Chambers made 20 stops for the Friars in the loss.
With the win, Hartford raised its record to 2-10, while Providence dropped to 4-9 overall.
PC returns to action on Wednesday, April 29 for its final game of the season against Vermont at Providence at 3:00 p.m.
