PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Siena College defeated Providence College, 11-10, Sunday, in men's lacrosse action at PC's Glay Field. Senior Steve Grogan scored his third goal of the game and what proved to be the gamewinner with 2:23 to play to give Siena the victory.

After a closely played first two quarters, Providence led 4-3 at halftime. Ken Leahy spearheaded the Friar offense during the first 30 minutes of play, tallying two of his three goals for the game. However, Siena came out flying after halftime and scorched the Friars for six third quarter goals to take a 9-5 lead. Junior Matt Pymm scored three of the PC's five goals in the fourth quarter but it was not enough for the late surging Friars.
