Softball Home Opener Versus Boston University Cancelled

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College softball home opener slated for Wednesday, March 21, 2001 with Boston University, has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date.

The contest, scheduled as PC's home opener of the brand-new Raymond Field, was cancelled due to the impending weather in the Providence area.

No make-up date was scheduled as of today.

The Friars return to action on Saturday, March 24 when they travel to New Haven, Conn. to face Yale University in a doubleheader.
