PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College softball team's doubleheader at the University of Rhode Island scheduled for Thursday, April 12th was cancelled due to the rain. No date was set for a make up game.

The Friars (17-15 overall and 2-6 in BIG EAST Conference play) faces Boston College on Saturday, April 14 in a conference doubleheader. Game time is 12 noon.
