TALLAHASSE, Fla. - The Providence College softball team dropped a pair of games at the Florida State Invitational on Saturday, March 8, losing 8-1 to Utah and 9-0 to Florida International in five innings. The remaining games for the Florida State Invitational scheduled for Sunday, March 9 were cancelled because of rain.

In the game verus Florida International, Amanda Nealer and Kendra Laminack combined to throw a no-hitter as the Friars managed one base runner. With the loss against FIU, the Friars fell to 0-3 on the season.

The Friars will play Niagara in the Rebel games on Monday, March 10 in Ocoee, Fla.
