PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Members of the Providence College men's lacrosse team took part in National Reading Week by visiting students at George J. West Elementary School in Providence on Wednesday, April 1. The student-athletes read a number of books by Dr. Seuss and other children's authors to the elementary school students to promote reading at an early age.

The student-athletes that participated in the event were graduate student Colin Reposa (East Falmouth, Mass.), senior Danny Ryan (Chatham, N.J.), junior Garrett Kanter (Marblehead, Mass.), junior Tim Barry (Silver Spring, Md.), sophomore Steve Wilhelmsen (Wallingford, Pa.), sophomore Mike Feldberg (Voorhees, N.J.) and freshman Andrew Bromley (Surrey, British Columbia).

The National Education Association's National Reading Week promotes reading as a fun activity in schools across the country. For pictures of the April 1 event, see the attached photo gallery.
