Kristie Dederick Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Providence College softball freshman Kristie Dederick (Camarillo, Calif.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, April 2.

Dederick helped the Friars to a 4-1 record last week in five BIG EAST Conference games, including a three-game weekend sweep at Villanova. She hit one home run in four of the five games, including a grand slam in a 5-2 victory at Villanova on Sunday, April 1. For the week, she batted 6-for-14 (.429) with four home runs, eight RBIs and a 1.286 slugging percentage.

The Friars are back in action at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3 with a non-conference game versus Harvard in Providence, R.I.
