Steph Guglielmo Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College sophomore forward Steph Guglielmo (Castle Rock, Colo.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for field hockey on Monday, September 24. Guglielmo netted one goal in the Friars' 3-2 loss to No. 22 Boston College on Sunday, September 23.

Guglielmo has scored at least one point in six of the Friars' eight games this season, including each of the last five. Her goal against the Eagles on Sunday marked her fourth tally of the season, and got the Friars within one goal (2-1) early in the second half. Guglielmo also has recorded one goal in four of the Friars' last five games, and three of them have been game winners.

Providence returns to action on Friday, September 28 against No. 5 Connecticut in BIG EAST regular-season play. The game will be played in Storrs, Conn. and is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m.
