Softball And Volleyball Hold First Annual Bowling Classic

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - On Saturday, November 16 the softball and volleyball programs teamed up to host the first annual Softball and Volleyball Bowling Classic. The event took place at East Providence Lanes in Rumford, R.I. Over 240 alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends were in attendance. The event featured bowling along with a raffle and silent auction prizes. After the bowling event, all guests in attendance were treated to complimentary tickets to the Providence men's basketball game vs. Marist.

The event raised $13,000, a fundraising record for both teams. The Funds from the event will benefit both the softball and volleyball programs along with the Allan Baker '74 Student-Athlete Memorial Scholarship Fund, in honor of former Friar great Allan Baker '74, `06P.
