Three Softball Players Named 2013-14 NFCA Scholar-Athletes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Providence College softball team had three student-athletes named 2013-14 NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes, the Association announced. Over 4,500 softball student-athletes were chosen from seven different divisions. To qualify, student-athletes must have held a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the 2013-14 academic year.

Current senior Lauren Paiva (Middletown, R.I.) and junior Josie Dexter (Bradley, Ill.) were named to the list. Also honored was Marie Flego, who was a senior on last year's squad. As a team, Providence had a combined GPA of 3.18.
