Andrew Barton Selected By Ohio Machine In MLL Draft

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College graduate, Andrew Barton '14, was selected in the 10th round by the Ohio Machine in the 2015 Major League Lacrosse (MLL) supplemental draft on Wednesday, Dec. 17.

Barton was previously selected 53rd overall by the Florida Launch in the 2014 Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Collegiate Draft on Friday, Jan.10, 2014.

At Providence, Barton served as a captain his senior year and started each of the Friars' 15 games last season. He ranked first on the team in scoring with 47 points on 31 goals and 16 assists. Barton landed 65 of his 91 shot attempts on goal for a .714 shots on goal percentage. For his career at Providence, Barton played in 60 games and scored 147 points off of 85 goals.
